Like every wednesday, hello again! Today, I will talk about my favorite style of music. First of all, Why style of music? Because I have a lot of groups and solist of this music style that I love a lot, and I can't decide for one. So, Let's start! My favorite music style is K-pop (or Korean pop). I was five or six when I heard it for the first time on TV, and I loved it so much! My first song was "Twins" from Super Junior, and since this moment I started to search more about this music style. The rhythm is varied (like R&B, Hip-Hop, Ballads, electronics) and the lyrics of their songs are precious, that's why I liked it so much. I do not care if many people said that they look like the same, or they are gays, etc, because I know that their words will not change the way I think about them.

In 2011 I went to a K-pop concert for the first time, called Music Bank (A south Korean music program that visited our country) and six groups come to Chile. I really loved that day. Then, in 2012, I went to another concert (Super Junior's concert) and, in 2017 I went to two concerts more! (BTS and Seventeen concerts) Last year, I saved money and I bought my first album of a group, called "Love yourself: Answer" from BTS, it's one of my favorite album, I hope I can buy more :c

A PHOTOGRAPH YOU LIKE

Hello again! Today I am going to talk about one of my favorite photos that I took. Yes, one of many, because I really like to take pictures. I took it in 2018, on holiday in the countryside, Los Andes. As you can see, it shows nature, basically, with a contrast of the sun in the background, which causes a more special image for the mixture of colors. I really like to capture moments like this, when nature shows us its beauty, without filters or fixes. I feel that this image shows a lot and makes you feel many things, like tranquility. It looks like a wallpaper, right? I like to photograph nature, because it relaxes me and shows me how beautiful the world can be. Also, I like to take pictures of animals, landscapes, clouds, mountains and small things, like flowers. I would like to show you more pictures, but it will only be one for the moment!

Pets!

Hi again! Today I’m going to talk about my pets. My first pet was a Bird, her name was Jerry, and she was a green bird. Unfortunately, I was too young so I don’t remember much about it, I just remember the day when my parents liberate her. Then, around 7 or 8 years old, I had a Hamster! His name was Lucky, and he was so small and cute. Every night, he ran in his wheel and makes so much noise! I think Lucky was the first pet that I loved so much. That’s because, 4 years later, I was so sad when he died. 

In 2011 my parents gave me a dog, his name is Locky and He’s 8 years old right now. He’s so cute! We named him Locky because, when he was a puppy, he looked like an dog from an anime called Shin-chan. Here is a picture when he was 3 months, he is so cute, right? Now he is still cute, obviously. 

Now he's old but is very playful and lovely in spite of his age. He likes so much to catch slippers and run around the house, or to sleep every day with me. I hope he can live for a long time, because I love him so much.

Your favorite piece of technology

Hi!! Today I will talk about my favorite piece of technology, and it’s my phone! What it is? My phone is like a little notebook, because it has everything and I can do a lot of things that I like, as listening to the music, watching videos and taking pictures. I got my first phone when I was twelve years old, I don’t remember about it, I got my actual phone around three years ago, it’s a Motorola 3G but I don’t remember why I got it, maybe it would be for my birthday? I don’t know. The only thing that I remember it’s that day I was so happy. My phone is important to me, because with it, I can communicate with my friends that I don’t know (I talk with friends from other countries, like Mexico, Argentina, etc) and the University sends emails constantly , so, I spend around two or three hours per day. I like it, because it is like a little notebook, I can do everything with it. My life wouldn’t change that much if I didn't have my phone, because I am not depending on it. I would use my notebook for checking emails of the university or communicating with my friends on Facebook, I would take pictures with my camera, for example.  

Why did do you choose this major/study program?

When I was child my mom said “You should be a Doctor in the future or something like that” but I was around seven or eight years old, so small! So I didn’t know a lot about the future and majors. Also, I didn’t have dreams about what I should do in the future, I only thought to be happy. When I was 10 years old I went to the dentistry and the attention was so good, I felt great, and the doctor took care of me. He explained all the things that He did, so I felt very safe with him. My mom asked me if He was good with me and I said “Mom, I want to be like him in the future, I want to be dentistry” He inspired me. Since this time I decided to study this major.

  I like this university because they incorporate all the information for us, since basic things and more. And, we don’t have theology classes like at Universidad Católica. My experience studying this major has been so variable. Last year I was so stressed because I had so much of new information and pressure. This year is so difficult; we have a lot of challenges and a lot of study. It’s difficult to have time and relax myself, the stress is horrible, however, I still love this major. In the future, I would like to work in rural sites, with people that don’t have the access to go to the dentist and help them! Or maybe, studying an specialty like Radiography or Pathology.

My auto biography

My name is Angela Alvear Chavez; I’m 19 years old and I from Santiago, Chile. I studied elementary and high school at the school named San Carlos, of Quilicura. Currently I am studying odontology at an University named Universidad de Chile, It’s my second year, although, I’m a little bit tired. I have two siblings called Antonia and Ricardo, also, I have my mom, dad and my sweet dog. In these months, I tried to dance and sing a lot of songs, but it’s difficult because I have so much things to study so I don’t have time to do it. However, yesterday I went to the robotics team and I enjoyed myself a lot, I’m very nervous because we have to travel to United States for the First Robotics Championships in Detroit! I hope we’ll do well. My hobbies are to read books, learn different dances and, these days, I’ve been watching anime, painting and it’s very relaxing!
